🤔 “What is leathered stone? Is it better indoors or outdoors?”
This is a question we hear often!
✨ Leathered is a finish—not a type of stone. It gives stone a gently textured surface with less shine than a polished finish.
🏡 Can I have it inside my kitchen?
Yes! Leathered granite can be a beautiful kitchen countertop choice, especially if you love natural texture and a softer look. It can also help disguise fingerprints and smudges.
☀️ Is it better outdoors?
It can work beautifully in either setting—the stone matters more than the finish! For outdoor kitchens, choose a stone approved for outdoor use. Leathered granite can offer less glare, but the finish alone doesn’t make a stone weatherproof.
🧽 Is it easy to maintain?
Clean with mild soap and water or a stone-safe cleaner. Textured areas may need extra attention to remove food residue. Seal when recommended for your particular stone, and use trivets under hot cookware.
💡 Our advice: choose the stone for where it will be installed, then choose the finish for the look and feel you love!
