🌴 Central/South Florida: Pentas 'can behave' as a perennial (we categorize them as a tender perennial to an annual depending on the particular variety) and may continue growing year-round.
❄️ Freeze/frost: They are cold-sensitive. A significant freeze can damage or kill the above-ground growth.
🌱 After cold damage: In sufficiently warm conditions, they may recover and grow back.
🌸 Warm weather: They can keep flowering for long periods, and UF/IFAS notes that regular fertilization during the growing season can encourage continued growth and flowering.
