3 more things most people don't know about building a custom luxury pool 💧

1. A new pool's first month matters. Fresh plaster needs about four weeks of careful water chemistry and brushing to cure evenly, so the startup process is part of the build.

2. Your decking choice changes how the pool feels in July. Light natural stone like travertine stays noticeably cooler underfoot than darker surfaces, which matters a lot in a Texas summer.

3. Modern pool equipment runs far more efficiently than it used to. Today's variable-speed pumps use a fraction of the energy of older single-speed models, which keeps long-term operating costs down.

Small details like these are part of every design conversation at Texas Pools.

What if your favorite wellness routine was waiting right outside your back door?

A morning swim to get moving. A peaceful afternoon floating. A quiet evening unwinding by the pool.

Swimming and water-based activities can support cardiovascular fitness, provide joint-friendly exercise, and help relieve everyday stress.

And the best part? Wellness doesn't have to feel like another thing on your to-do list. 💙

At Texas Pools, we design custom pools around the way you want to live.

Now tell us: Are you a morning-swim or sunset-relaxation kind of person?

3 things most people don't know about building a luxury, custom pool 🌴

1. Gunite is sprayed over a steel framework, so there's no template. Any shape, any depth, any feature you can picture.

2. Most of the work happens before you see a drop of water. Design, engineering, and permitting come first, and that planning is what makes the build go smoothly.

3. Houston's clay soil shifts with the seasons, so a pool built here needs to be engineered for it. It's one more reason experience matters.

46 years of building Texas backyards, and we're always happy to share what we've learned.
