Important fact:
A lawn that goes into the winter months to tall in the one that comes out of winter with snow mold. What is snow mold? Snow mold is a cold weather fungus diseases that infects the turf grass. If the lawn is left to tall in the late fall it will leave your lawn matted down. Grasshopper lawn care will continue to mow into November or until the grass is actually done growing, NOT until a date on the calendar. All this dead grass came from a yard today that was Sodded 4 years ago. This is why it’s important to dethatch your yard if not every year every other year. All this dead grass laying underneath the good grass wasn’t allowing any water or nitrogen to get into the soil to benefit the good bluegrass. Dethatching your yard has so many beneficial factors.
