A beautiful space should do far more than look elevated. It should welcome people in, feel peaceful at the end of a long day, and support everyday life beautifully. A gorgeous room that nobody can actually sit down in was never the goal.

So we start with you. Your lifestyle, your family dynamics, your story. Not a trend, and not a catalog. Our approach blends approachable luxury and warm modern interiors with collected, layered styling, and the result is a home that feels cohesive, intentional, and deeply lived-in.

You also get to decide how deep the project goes. Some clients come to us excited about a total fresh start. Others simply want one room that finally feels calm and cohesive. That is exactly why we offer tiered packages, so you keep clarity, confidence, and control over your project depth.

Great design should feel approachable. If you are ready, book a 1-Hour Design Consultation, link in the comment section below.

The last full weekend of October always feels like a gentle exhale here in the 518. I pulled together a few outings that bring people together, spark a little creativity, and send you home grateful for the warm, peaceful place you get to come back to. 🍁

πŸ•―οΈ Fri & Sat, tours 6–7 PM – Candlelight Tours of the Historic Stockade | Schenectady County Historical Society, Schenectady
Storytellers lead you through a nearly 400-year-old neighborhood by candlelight. I could stare at those Colonial and Victorian doorways all night. (Book ahead, several Friday times are already sold out.)

🎁 Sat & Sun 10 AM–4 PM – Shaker Holiday Market | 1848 Meeting House, Shaker Heritage Society, Albany
Handmade crafts and fine art inside a beautiful old meeting house. A lovely way to shop small and find a piece with a story for your home. Free admission.

πŸŽƒ Sat & Sun 10 AM–4 PM – Dellavale Farm Pumpkin Patch, Final Weekend | Pattersonville
Pick your own pumpkin, wander the corn maze and take a horse-drawn wagon ride. Simple, sweet family time before the season wraps up.

πŸ‚ Sat 12–3 PM – 25th Annual Saratoga Fall Fest | Broadway, Downtown Saratoga Springs
Costumes, trick-or-treating at local shops, the Pumpkin Roll down Caroline Street and live music. Free, and so much fun for little ones.

🎨 Sun 2–6 PM – OPEN House at The Egg | Empire State Plaza, Albany
A free afternoon inside one of Albany's most iconic buildings: face painting, a candy scavenger hunt, a kids' costume contest and family movies. Free with RSVP.

🎻 Sun 3 PM – Empire State Youth Orchestra: Grounded in Story | Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy
Young musicians playing Scheherazade in that glorious historic hall. Pay what you can, and my favorite kind of peaceful Sunday.

Small bathroom? Everyone says to paint it white. I say go green. 🌿

When these clients came to me, they had two requests: bring on the bold, and keep their original basketweave tile floor and vintage clawfoot tub. I loved that, because the room already had good bones. It just needed some personality.

So instead of tearing anything out, we:
βœ”οΈ Painted the paneling, trim and door in a deep forest green
βœ”οΈ Hung a large-scale wallpaper in terracotta, ochre and green that draws your eye up
βœ”οΈ Painted the outside of the clawfoot tub a bold orange to echo the wallpaper
βœ”οΈ Swapped the pedestal sink for a double vanity with marble, chrome faucets and two mirrors

3 tips if you want color in a small space:

Balance dark paint with bright pieces: white sinks, marble, warm metals.
Go big on pattern. Small prints look busy, and large ones feel custom.
Paint the trim and doors to match. It looks seamless and high-end.

The full story is the blog today. Link in bio. ✨

Would you be brave enough to go dark in your smallest room? πŸ‘‡

Reviews like this are the whole reason we love what we do.

Mike has trusted us with project after project, and his words afterward meant the world to me. That’s what I hope every client feels: like they found a team they can come back to again and again, whether it’s for a whole office or just one room.

If there’s a space on your list, at home or at work, we would love to help you make it feel like you.

We understand that home is deeply personal.

Some clients come to us excited about a fresh start. Others come overwhelmed by too many decisions. Some are navigating a renovation they've never done before. Others simply want a home that finally feels calm, cohesive, and reflective of the life they're building.

At FunCycled, we believe beautiful spaces should do more than look elevated. They should welcome people in, feel peaceful at the end of long days, support everyday life beautifully, reflect your story and personality, and create warmth, connection, and comfort.

We believe the best homes are the ones that feel both inspiring and deeply lived in.

Whichever one of those you're in right now, we'd love to help. Book a 1-Hour Focused Design Consultation, link in the comment section below.
