It’s time for A Living Thread 🌱

Some things are meant to be shared.

A seed passed from one hand to another. An idea that inspires someone to create. A connection that opens the door to something unexpected.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the ways we influence one another, sometimes without ever realizing it. How the things we grow, make, discover, and share become part of someone else’s story. And how we are connected to the past and future through the things we do and share.

That idea became A Living Thread.

I’ve brought together a collection of plants, seeds, handmade creations, and thoughtful goods from independent makers whose work deserves to be discovered. And I hope you Follow them!

And rather than giving everything to one person, I wanted this experience to be shared.

One person will be selected at random, and they’ll get to extend the thread to someone of their choosing.

Two complementary collections. Two people. With pieces that connect the two collections while allowing each to be its own.

It’s a giveaway, yes. But I hope it becomes a way to discover new makers, share stories, celebrate creativity, and remind ourselves how far even the smallest connections can reach.

🌵 Entries open now and close November 15 at 9 PM Arizona time.

To enter, visit the link in our bio and share a little about your own living thread.

I can’t wait to celebrate you and all the people and creations that have become part of this one.

Where will your thread lead?

For the people who keep growing, learning, making, and sharing.

I’d love to introduce P͟r͟i͟c͟k͟l͟y͟ ͟P͟o͟i͟n͟t͟

Brian has a wonderful passion for plants and the world around them. What I especially love is the care and curiosity he brings to understanding them. From photographing their growth, documenting field data, keeping notes, and making what he learns available for others to explore. His website feels like an invitation into his journey.

Brian grows plants and creates worlds for them to live in. His handmade cement pots turn the vessel into part of the art itself, and that curiosity is now leading him into clay and pottery, opening another thread for him to follow.

Brian’s thread started when someone shared a piece of theirs with him. And now he’s doing the same! Sharing his plants, knowledge, creativity, and curiosity with the people he meets along the way, while continuing to discover more himself. So magical!

Brian’s story shows us that we cannot control the world, but we can design ours. And we can create moments of peace to keep us on a path of curiosity and caring for the world around us. We can be thankful for the seasons of blooms, growth, and stillness.

We sometimes forget the human in each other, and that we’re all figuring it out as we go. Those who willingly share the “in between” are special. You do not have to have it all figured out…you just have to follow the thread!

I cannot wait to share some of Brian’s beautiful pots with you! 💚

For the people who are building a life out of the things they love.

I’d love to introduce you to Tio Pancho’s Haberdashery

Pancho grows plants, makes pottery, hunts for rocks and minerals, and somehow all of those things seem to find their way back into each other.

We spend our lives picking things up along the way. Interests, experiences, people, places, things we find on the ground and decide are too cool not to bring home. They become part of us, and eventually pieces of us make their way back out into the world too.

I think Pancho’s work carries a lot of that. It feels like a collection of the things he’s loved, noticed, learned and played with along the way.

And maybe that’s one of the threads between all of us. We’re all taking in little pieces of the world, making them our own, and leaving something behind for someone else to pick up.

Some of Pancho’s handmade ceramic pieces and top dressing will be part of the A Living Thread Giveaway 💚
