Tucson, Arizona | Part-Time Position

Arizona Preventive Crime Unit, LLC (APCU) is currently accepting applications for an experienced Armed Security Officer II to join our team in Tucson, Arizona.

We are seeking a dependable, disciplined, and professional individual who understands the importance of officer presence, situational awareness, sound judgment, and exceptional customer service.

POSITION DETAILS

• Location: Tucson, Arizona
• Compensation: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Employment: Part-Time | Ongoing Assignment
• Approximately 22 hours per week

SCHEDULE

• Thursday: 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM
• Friday: 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM
• Saturday: 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM
• Sunday: 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Arizona DPS Armed Security Guard Card
• Verifiable prior law enforcement and/or military experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation and required duty equipment
• Ability to successfully complete a drug screening

This is not an entry-level position.

We’re hiring experienced security professionals.

Arizona Preventive Crime Unit, LLC is currently accepting applications for Armed Security Officer II (ASO II) positions in the Phoenix metro area.

These are not entry-level positions. We are looking for experienced professionals who understand that effective armed security is built around sound judgment, professionalism, customer service, situational awareness, and de-escalation.

Pay: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements include an active Arizona DPS Armed Security Guard Card and verifiable prior law enforcement and/or military experience. Candidates must also be willing to pass a drug screening and meet our professional equipment and appearance standards.

We currently have both a 21-hour-per-week opportunity and a 5-hour-per-week Saturday opportunity, with the potential for additional assignments as they become available.

Overview

Arizona Preventive Crime Unit (APCU) is seeking a professional and dependable **Unarmed School Safety Officer** to provide a visible security presence at a private faith-based school.

This is not a static security position. You'll spend your shift actively patrolling campus on foot and by golf cart, interacting with students, faculty, parents, visitors, and vendors while helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional learning environment.

This is a part-time position working Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

**Pay:** **$17.00 to $19.00 per hour**, depending on experience.

This position is intended for applicants seeking a consistent part-time schedule.

* Additional hours are **not guaranteed**.

Minimum Qualifications

* Active Arizona Unarmed Security Guard License
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
* Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
* Professional appearance and strong communication skills
* Comfortable working in a professional school environment and on the campus of a faith-based educational institution
* Must possess an unarmed duty belt equipped with:

* Baton
* OC Spray
* Flashlight
* Handcuffs

* Willing to obtain Armed School Safety Officer certification in the future for cross-assignment opportunities at other APCU school locations

Primary Responsibilities

* Conduct highly visible foot and golf cart patrols throughout campus.
* Inspect gates, fencing, and perimeter access points to ensure they remain secure.
* Observe and report suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, and policy violations.
* Monitor visitor activity and professionally direct visitors to the school office for check-in and assistance.
* Build positive working relationships with school administrators, faculty, staff, students, parents, and vendors.
* Help maintain a calm, welcoming, and secure learning environment through professional presence and proactive patrol.
* Respond appropriately to emergencies and security concerns in accordance with APCU policy and school procedures.
* Complete Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, and other required documentation before the end of each shift.

Physical Requirements

Applicants should expect to:

* Spend the majority of each shift outdoors.
* Walk and stand for extended periods.
* Frequently enter and exit a golf cart while conducting patrols.
* Work comfortably in Arizona weather conditions throughout the school year.

Preferred Qualifications

The following are preferred but not required:

* Previous security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or customer service experience.
* CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
* Strong verbal communication and conflict de-escalation skills.
* Experience working around children or in educational settings.

Our Enhanced Unarmed Officer service was developed to bridge the gap between traditional unarmed and armed security services.

This is not a traditional unarmed security position.

Introducing the Enhanced Unarmed Officer

As the security landscape continues to evolve, so do the needs of the organizations we serve. Over time, we began noticing a consistent gap between traditional unarmed security officers and armed security officers. He is risen!

Good morning. Today we celebrate Easter, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is not just a holiday or tradition. It is the foundation of the Christian faith and the greatest demonstration of love in history.

Through His sacrifice on the cross and His victory over death, we are offered forgiveness and salvation. The truth is that every one of us has fallen short. We have all sinned. None of us are perfect, no matter how good we try to be.

Many people say, “I am a good person.” But good according to whose standard? Have you ever lied? Gossiped? Felt hatred toward someone? Lusted? Been prideful? We all have. God’s standard is perfection, and none of us can reach that standard through our own efforts.

The message of Easter is that we are not saved by our works alone. We are saved by grace. Jesus lived the perfect life we could not live, and He paid the price we could not pay. Through Him, we are offered a path to forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life.

John 3:16 reminds us:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Easter is a reminder that no matter our past, no matter our mistakes, there is hope. There is forgiveness. There is new life.
