Here is the problem: wet debris sits there and holds water against the shingle instead of letting it run off. Water that cannot leave will always, eventually, find a seam.

🍂 Do this before the leaves come down

October is the cheapest month of the year to take care of your roof. Here is the short list:

✅ Clear the gutters now. Clogged gutters in November become ice dams in January.
✅ Trim branches back about six feet.** Wind turns an overhanging limb into a shingle st****er.
✅ Check the attic on a bright day. Look for daylight, dark streaks and damp insulation.
✅ Reseal around penetrations.Vents, pipes and chimneys are where leaks actually start.
✅ Get the spring hail looked at. A claim you never filed is still a claim you may be able to file.

Any of these you would rather not climb up for, that is what we are here for.
