Hummingbird Farm is a family owned greenhouse, specializing in Clematis for the Frozen North.

We offer mail order to all 50 states and are open to the public by appointment.

Happy Labor Day!
Summer is winding down here in Maine and most of the clematis have finished blooming. However, I’m still finding scattered flowers here and there. Here is today’s collection:

Ville de Lyon (Yes, it’s a very odd bloom for that variety. In September, I don’t turn my nose up at any flowers! 😉)

Hummingbird Farm is open this weekend, June 26 and 27, from 9 AM to 5 PM. After this Sunday, we will be open by appointment but will not hold regular hours.

The early flowering clematis are wrapping up their show for the season, but the summer flowering varieties are just hitting their stride.

Join us at Hummingbird Farm this weekend, where we will celebrate the last day of spring and the first day of summer. We will be open 9 to 5 Saturday and Sunday. The clematis are just starting their glorious summer show, so bring your camera and your questions.

Can’t make it this weekend? We’re happy to be opened by appointment during the week.

Good morning from Hummingbird Farm, where clematis Madame Julia Correvon is reaching for the sky.

This plant was cut to the ground in April and since then has been growing faster than a teenager!

Swipe through to see her first buds forming. She will open her first flowers late this month and will bloom for the rest of the summer.

Hummingbird Farm is open this weekend, 9 am to 5 pm. The humidity seems to have broken and cooler weather next week will make for excellent planting conditions.

I’m currently measuring her time in the sun and she’s looking pretty shade-tolerant.
