3)Trim back and branches that may be encroaching on your home or property. Weight from heavy rain or wind can cause a limb to break especially if it is in a weak state.
4)Consider the location of new trees you are planting on your property. Avoid planting trees to close to your home or other structures. Investigate species that are not so easy to topple over during storms.
