Spent a little time mending fences today. 😃
This old gate was long past it’s prime and was a big to big at 5 1/2 ft wide. Homeowner and I decided to drop a new post and close in the opening a bit. I think it turned out pretty well and the homeowner can now easily enter and leave through the back yard again. 👍🏼

It was time to give this storm door some much needed TLC. The bottom had rotted out and the hardware was worn. Was able to repair the rot using using wood epoxy, a good sanding, a couple coats of paint & new hardware.

Completed a fun deck rehab project today! Started by power washing the deck clean then replacing a few rotted boards and adding some tops to the railings. Finished it off with a fresh coat deck stain.

All ready for the summer cook outs!! 🍔🌭🍻

After many years the decking by the front door on this porch had worn and rotted away. Torn up all the rotted sections, secured framing and installed new porch floor. Finished with a couple coats of floor enamel. Ready for many more years of use.

Finished a fun project turning a large odd opening into a dedicated storage closet, complete with sturdy utility shelves and a sliding barn door with elegant gold hardware.

Installed railings on an existing deck today. A ground level deck like this is not technically required to have railings, but with a rambunctious 4 year old in the house they do make it much safer.
