“Holy cow that’s expensive” we hear it all the time and let’s talk about it
You see the estimate.
We see the bills.
Off-road diesel: up roughly 200% since 2020.
And that’s just fuel.
Equipment costs more.
Parts cost more.
Repairs cost more.
Trucks and trailers cost more.
Tires cost more.
Insurance costs more.
Labor costs more.
Operating a business costs more.
Yet somehow, some people still expect contractors to charge 2020 prices while paying 2026 expenses.
That doesn’t work.
YOUR CONTRACTOR’S HOURLY RATE IS NOT THEIR HOURLY PAY.
That money has to keep the equipment fueled, maintained, insured, repaired, transported, and eventually replaced.
When a machine breaks, we pay.
When fuel goes up, we pay.
When equipment sits in the shop, we still pay.
When a job takes longer than expected, we take the risk.
So no — we’re not charging more because we’re trying to take advantage of anybody.
We’re charging what it costs to operate a legitimate business and stand behind the work we do.
If you want cheap, there’s always somebody willing to cut corners.
If you want the job done right, with the right equipment, experience, insurance, and someone willing to stand behind it—
THAT COSTS MONEY.
At the end of the day, you’re not just paying for hours on a machine.
You’re paying for the result.
You’re paying for someone who shows up with the right equipment, knows how to use it, does the job properly, takes responsibility for the work, and leaves you with something you’re proud of.
That’s the difference between simply paying for a contractor and investing in quality work.
We may not always be the cheapest quote — and that’s fine
We’re focused on giving you value for every dollar you spend.
Because the cheapest job isn’t always the cheapest job in the long run.
Do it right. Do it once. Get the value you paid for.
