Before you buy another organizer… make sure you actually need one. 👀

A new bin or basket can help, but only when you know what problem you’re trying to solve.

Before buying, ask yourself:

→ Do I actually need everything I’m trying to store?
→ Do I know exactly where this organizer will live?
→ Did I measure the space?
→ Will it make things easier to access and put away?
→ Am I solving the real problem - or just finding a prettier place for clutter?

Sometimes the best organizing solution costs $0: declutter, move things closer to where you use them, or simplify the system you already have.

You don’t always need new bins, baskets, or organizers to make your home work better.

Some of the first things I look at as a professional organizer cost absolutely nothing:

→ Are the things you use most actually easy to reach?
→ Are there unnecessary steps when putting things away?
→ Does the system work for the people who use it?
→ Are your categories too broad?
→ Where does clutter naturally keep piling up?

Sometimes simply moving things, simplifying categories, or changing where something lives can make a huge difference.

Start with what you already have. Then buy something only when you know exactly what problem it needs to solve.

Your most-used things should be the easiest to reach.

Keep everyday items at eye level, in the front row, or wherever you can grab them with the least effort.

Sounds obvious, right? But we often keep things in the same spots simply because that’s where we’ve always kept them - even when those spots no longer make sense.

This is one of the things professional organizers notice.
