Presents are wrapped, house is clean and almost ready for our daughter, son in law and grandkids. Cookies, need to be baked and tomorrow we make the sauce and meatballs. Ravioli is made. ( did 99.9% of all of the above)

It's almost Spring. Yay! Mr. DIY and I came up for a few days so he could work on the new bathroom tile, only to find water on the kitchen floor. All the bottoms of the cabinets were saturated.
The next day, I called our agent, who had a remediation crew at our house that evening. ( major props to them and Emergency Restoration Co) The moisture meter was going off the bedroom next to the kitchen. Looks like the flooring will be replaced sooner than we expected.
Baseboards are off, and area sprayed with antimicrobial and fans are running.
Good thing Mr. DIY is retired as of March 1.

I design kitchens remotely for a very talented friend I've known since elementary school. It's a rare treat that I get to see the final project.
