A u-pick flower farm in Holland, NY

After some debate yesterday on whether I should let the frost take the flowers or take the time to cover them, I decided I wasn’t ready to see them go. So last night with help (thank you, Mom, Nick, Patty, and Val!) we tucked in the flowers for the night. They are ready for you today again!

With the long weekend ahead, stop by Gunner Gardens and pick yourself a fresh bouquet while they’re still blooming! 💐

This may be the last weekend to come out to grab some flowers! There’s talk of a frost next week which means they will be all done until next year. And while I love seeing a field of colors, I think flowers look much nicer brightening our kitchen tables🩷💛🧡

My helper for harvesting flowers for the East Aurora Preschool Center!💙🌼

28 students visited Gunner Gardens last week for a morning of garden activities, and today I got to deliver some flowers to say thank you for coming. Sharing flowers is one of my favorite parts of having this little farm!💐

Lately, my morning routine has included a little “frost check” walk to make sure the flowers are still going strong. It was close this morning, but they’re safe for now!

So if there was ever a fall Saturday to come pick flowers, today is the one! While you’re here, grab some treats for the weekend.

Open 9 AM–7 PM every day, but not for too much longer! 🌼

Dahlias! The heroes of fall flowers. In just a few short weeks I’ll be digging up all the tubers to store over winter but for now we get to enjoy all the varieties💕

We can already feel the chill at night as we get closer to fall, but today I really noticed the change in color.
A little less bright green, but so much more vibrant with the reds, oranges, and yellows. ❤️🧡💛

I’m a little sad to see summer coming to an end, but I’m also excited for these beautiful fall colors to fill the field and make their way into bouquets!

Just a few more weeks before these colors fade and the field is put to rest for another season. Soaking it all in while we can!🌻

If you’re a vase type or a “keep the flowers in the picking cup” type, both get the job done!

Come stop by and get your fresh-picked flowers for the week as well as some baked goods!

Labor Day always feels like the end of summer and it makes us want to squeeze in a few more outdoor experiences if possible. Last weekend we made it over to Letchworth. Rock-breaking and sand-playing is on the menu for today!

If you’re looking for one more little summer experience, come spend some time here at Gunner Gardens! Pick flowers, grab some yummy treats, let the kids explore with a scavenger hunt, and just enjoy being outside together.

We are open all weekend and on Labor Day from 9am - 7pm🌸🌺🌻
