Our Atlanta team recently gathered for a special dinner to recognize their full-time lifeguards for the hard work and dedication they brought to the summer season.

A safe and welcoming aquatic environment starts with a team committed to safety, service, and creating a positive experience for guests. Our Atlanta lifeguards worked hard throughout the summer to help maintain that environment and provide the attentive service our clients and their guests count on.

Our New Jersey team recently took time to connect with their H-2B and J-1 team members from Jamaica through a game of cricket.

It was a great opportunity to try something new, spend time together, and learn the game from those who grew up playing it!

We’re grateful for the H-2B and J-1 team members who join us each season and for the experiences and perspectives they bring to our team. Moments like these create meaningful connections, strengthen relationships, and provide opportunities for cultural exchange and learning from one another.

Our DMV In-Service Lifeguard Instructor, Dmitri Joutz, recently led a training focused on effective scanning and maintaining awareness while on stand.

Ongoing training helps keep our lifeguards prepared, attentive, and ready to respond. By reinforcing essential skills and best practices, we help our teams stay focused and maintain a safe environment at the facilities we serve.

This Lifeguard Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating the incredible lifeguards who help create safe and welcoming experiences at our pools.

One of the most meaningful parts of this week has been hearing directly from our lifeguards about why they chose this important role.

Our Atlanta team shared their stories and the reasons they lifeguard, from pursuing a future in the medical field and building meaningful connections to protecting others, saving lives, and creating a safe place for family and friends.

Their responses are a reminder of the care, dedication, and commitment our lifeguards bring to their communities every day. We loved hearing how some see safety as more than a responsibility, but also something that can be fun and rewarding.

As summer temperatures rise, community pools become a place for swimmers to gather and enjoy the season. During periods of extreme heat, proactive preparation and a continued focus on safety are essential.

Educating swimmers on the importance of staying hydrated, taking breaks from the sun, recognizing the signs of heat-related illness, and following safe pool practices helps create a safer experience for everyone.
