Working on a new concept. I’m digging through various unique finds and boxes of estate sale “stuff” and mounting them in custom frames. Each item can look interesting on its own and even more interesting in a collection. Starting small with this group of 9...and a couple close up shots

Posting a few photos of my new space at in S**o. The two black side tables in the center (first pic) have been completely refinished and the pair of Shaw Walker aluminum and wood office chairs have also been complete dismantled, refinished and RE-upholstered with a vintage wool United Airlines grey-striped cabin blanket.

Here’s a versatile piece that can serve a variety of purposes. It’s a large galvanized metal shipping crate with a lid and it sits on a custom reclaimed wood base. It could be used as a planter, a console table (with the lid on) or fill it with ice and cold drinks for a summer party. The metal crate easily lifts off the base for easy cleaning if needed. Dimensions are 34-1/2” wide by 14” deep by 36” high. Metal Basin is 9-1/2” high. Priced at $385

Pair of gear-shaped foundry forms converted into side tables. These forms came from a now defunct factory in Everett that made parts and machinery for the forest service and logging industries. The tapered round legs have been painted black however the tips have been left in raw wood for a slightly mid-century look. Round glass tops are included. Dimensions are 24-3/4” diameter by 25-1/2” high. Priced at $325 each.

I haven’t posted to this page in a looong time but thought I’d start posting pics of some pieces I currently have available at my space at Epic Antique in S**o. This is a console table made from a thick reclaimed wood beam on steel legs. Dimensions are 42” wide x 11 1/2” deep x 29” high. Priced at $485

I was recently wandering the aisles at Second Use Building Materials and found this large architectural corbel. It was covered in pink paint. After stripping it down and exposing the rough milling marks, now it starts its new life as a wine rack.

I'm pleased to be working with a local metal fabricator (Lori Brooks) on some small side tables. She makes the bases and I make the wood tops. Custom sizes and local delivery is also possible in Seattle. Custom kitchen cart made from salvaged maple butcher block and reclaimed fir legs. The only components that are new are the casters and fasteners.

When your neighbor is in charge if the local elementary school fund raiser auction and she has a pair of original lockers from the school (currently being remodeled) and asks if they can be turned into a wine rack. Of course they can.... Pic of the final product coming soon.
