💧 Water education benefits our entire community!

Great to see Sarasota County bringing families together at the H2-Oh! Expo to learn about water, wastewater, and the work that goes into managing these essential resources.

At Aqua Tech Irrigation, we see the value of using water wisely every day. Fixing leaks, improving sprinkler coverage, and keeping irrigation systems properly maintained are practical ways we can all help conserve water. 🌱

Thank you to Sarasota County and everyone who helped make this event possible!

A drainage system built in phases—and built to perform.

This property originally experienced severe pooling throughout the front yard. Beginning in 2023, Aqua Tech developed a custom drainage solution based on the property’s grading, driveway runoff, roof water, and access to the rear pond.

The original system included two NDS dry wells: one providing overflow and debris separation, and the second serving as the sump-pump chamber. The front yard was carefully graded toward the collection area, while a French drain—with two end catch basins and a center connection—was installed along the driveway’s lowest point.

Collected water is pumped through a buried discharge line routed around the home and released into the rear pond. More recently, we expanded the system by extending two downspouts to the property’s edge.

Years after the original installation, the result speaks for itself: a dry, healthy lawn and a drainage system that continues to perform.

😂 … wouldn’t have it any different!

This weekend I had the opportunity to attend the Florida Irrigation Society Water Summit alongside other irrigation professionals from across Florida.

It’s especially fitting that this event comes at the close of Smart Irrigation Month. July serves as a reminder that efficient irrigation isn’t just about keeping landscapes green—it’s about protecting one of our most valuable resources: water.💧

Events like these are a great reminder that our industry is constantly evolving. From water conservation and irrigation technology to changing regulations and best practices, staying educated allows us to provide better service to our customers.

At Aqua Tech Irrigation, we believe that every drop counts. Investing in education helps us deliver smarter irrigation solutions that save water, reduce waste, and keep our customers’ landscapes thriving.

Thank you to the Florida Irrigation Society for hosting an outstanding event. Looking forward to putting what I’ve learned into practice.

💧 Florida’s Water Supply Needs Our Attention

The recent photos of Poe Springs nearly stopping its flow are a powerful reminder that Florida’s groundwater resources are under stress.

Whether the cause is drought, increased water demand, or a combination of factors, one thing is certain:

Every gallon of water we save matters.

At Aqua Tech Irrigation, we believe water conservation starts with an efficient irrigation system.

✅ Repair broken sprinkler heads and leaks
✅ Replace outdated nozzles with high-efficiency models
✅ Install and test your rain sensor annually
✅ Adjust watering schedules to comply with local restrictions
✅ Convert appropriate landscape beds to low-volume irrigation

A properly maintained irrigation system doesn’t just save water—it also helps keep your lawn healthy while reducing unnecessary waste.

As a Florida Licensed Irrigation Contractor (LIC # SCC131153748), we’re committed to helping our community protect one of Florida’s most valuable resources.

💙 Save water. Protect our springs. Water smarter.
