Trinity: Azul X

Tons of work on this one. However, the final look is exactly what I wanted. Having the bands of carving enveloping the circle texture gives the piece an otherworldly feel.

Whimsical Turbulance.

Apple wood vessel. Fruitwoods have a tendency to move quite a bit when you turn them from wet wood. I remember the first time I turned some green wood years and years ago, it’s still that same enforcing rush to take the piece out of the microwave and see what fantastical movement has happened. It just never ever gets old. Apple has some really beautiful color. Available on my website. 45% off Sale still going on as well.

Birthday Sale still rockin and rolling! I’m quite surprised there is still some beauties still hanging around. I like to tell people that even though some of these pieces are really badass, I don’t ever keep any pieces back for myself or anything. I don’t get attached to my work in that way. I like to think of it as hatching little birds to fly away and make someone else happy.

That way I can sell more and make more little birds. The sale is on till this Friday.

The Maze.

Walnut wood hollow vessel. I love the monochromatic color of this piece. It makes it easy to read but still a feast for the eyes.

Black Walnut wood bowl. The colors contrast so well with the natural wood. The pattern is always fun to work through. Available on my website.

Continuum 15-23

This vessel explores the relationship between simple form, texture, and natural wood. Fine concentric lines follow the rounded silhouette, creating a rhythmic surface that changes subtly with the light. Though each piece in this series shares the same distinctive design, the unique grain, color, and natural markings of the wood make every vessel one of a kind.

The Continuum Collection is complete and is live now on the website.

I really enjoyed this process, the form changes slightly from piece to piece and the surface treatment is the same throughout.

23 pieces turned with similar process and finishing, just letting each individual piece tell its story.
