Today, I had the honor of being personally invited to the Executive Exchange Expo in Prince George’s County, an incredible gathering of event planners, designers, decorators, and entrepreneurs. We also had the pleasure of experiencing the culinary talents of featured Chef Tasya Bracey of while gaining valuable insight into business compliance, economic development, and opportunities designed to help business owners elevate to the NEXT LEVEL!

What an incredible opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, build relationships, and be surrounded by so many amazing professionals who are serious about growth and impact!

Coming off the heels of celebrating 10 YEARS of entrepreneurship, I am reminded that the journey doesn’t stop when you reach a milestone. You celebrate, you reflect, you give thanks, and then you KEEP BUILDING! Because there are still rooms to enter, relationships to cultivate, lessons to learn, and greater opportunities waiting on the other side of your willingness to SHOW UP!

These are the moments leading up to my 10-Year Anniversary Gala. Three hours before one of the biggest celebrations of my life, sitting in that makeup chair, I had time to reflect on the journey. The sacrifices. The sleepless nights. The disappointments. The doors that closed. The moments I questioned myself but NEVER gave myself permission to quit. I knew my look for the evening would be OVER THE TOP, because for once, I wasn’t showing up for a client, a project, or an opportunity. I was showing up for ME! And the little girl from Kingston, Jamaica, who dared to dream beyond what she could see.

Now, y’all might be tired of these gala posts, but I hope you’re not missing the MESSAGE! 🎯 So many of us spend our entire lives working, building, pouring into others, and chasing the next goal that we forget to celebrate how far we’ve already come. We survive storms and immediately start preparing for the next one without ever stopping to appreciate the RAINBOW.

This celebration was bigger than a beautiful dress, fabulous makeup, and an extravagant evening. It was about a woman who took a LEAP before she knew where she would land. A woman who faced obstacles, made mistakes, cried some tears, lost some things, learned some lessons, and STILL kept going!

So here’s my reminder to YOU: Don’t wait until the world applauds you to give yourself a standing ovation! Don’t wait until you’ve reached every goal, made every dollar, or checked every box to celebrate your journey. Sometimes the greatest accomplishment isn’t what you’ve achieved. It’s who you had to BECOME to achieve it.

Take the leap. Weather the storms. Trust your journey. And when that rainbow finally appears, don’t you DARE be afraid to stand underneath it and celebrate YOURSELF!

I didn’t come this far just to come this far. And neither did YOU! ❤️🥂

Interior design may be my profession, but CREATIVITY has never been confined to four walls! From the spaces I transform to the experiences I create, the assignment remains the same: MAKE IT UNFORGETTABLE!

Sometimes you really do have to STOP and smell your own flowers! 💐🥂 And sometimes, you have to put on the gown, and throw yourself one HECK of a celebration! 😂🔥 AND THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I DID!

This celebration was for the younger Nayoka Simone. That little girl from Kingston, Jamaica, who had BIG dreams but no idea just how far life would take her! I didn’t throw this gala to impress anyone. I did it to honor the journey, the sacrifices, the lessons, the wins, and the woman I had to BECOME! 10 YEARS OF CHANGING LIVES & HOMES! 💓

But here’s the beautiful plot twist… I wasn’t just celebrating what I’ve BUILT. I was also introducing what I’m BUILDING NEXT! 🎯 During my gala, I proudly unveiled “THE BLUEPRINT COLLECTIVE”, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through mentorship, education, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and community outreach. Because I’ve learned that my purpose extends FAR beyond designing beautiful spaces. I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE DESIGN BEAUTIFUL FUTURES! ✨

Success isn’t just about what you accomplish. It’s about the lives you impact and the doors you open for others! So YES, I gave myself my flowers, but I’m also planting seeds for the next generation to BLOOM! 🌸 The first 10 years were about building the DREAM. The next chapter is about building the LEGACY! WOW!!! 🥹🥂✨ I can’t believe that in just 3 DAYS, I’ll be celebrating 10 YEARS of entrepreneurship with NyRai Interior Designs, LLC! TEN YEARS of building a business that started with nothing more than a vision, faith, and one simple LEAP!

As you can imagine, this week has been BUSY, and yesterday was one of those days that truly tested me. A day I simply could NOT shake! But if these 10 years have taught me anything, it’s that every beautiful journey comes with moments that test your strength, your faith, and your WHY!

Through it all, the outpouring of LOVE, encouragement, and support has been nothing short of AMAZING, and I am beyond grateful! 🥹

When I say we’re Changing Lives & Homes, I mean that.

This master bedroom transformation was special to me for reasons that go far beyond beautiful furniture, statement walls, and luxurious finishes.

I wanted to create a space that felt like an escape from the world. A place to exhale, find peace, feel beautiful, and simply BE.

We brought the drama with bold black accents, softened it with blush tones, layered luxurious textures, and added those signature details that make a space unforgettable.

But here’s what I know after nearly 10 years in this industry…

A beautifully designed room can change how you live, but a thoughtfully designed room can change how you FEEL. 💕

And THAT is the part of interior design that will always mean the most to me.
