Air Design has been owned and operated by our family since 1967. We were born and raised here on Long Island, so we know these neighborhoods and the people in them. More importantly we grew up in the world of HVAC, and between the two of us we know this business inside and out. If there is a way to fix it, Frank will find it. He makes sure all our techs are NATE certified and skilled in everything from the latest technology to the old clunkers we so often see in some of Long Island's older homes.

Some indoor air quality concerns develop before air ever reaches the rooms in your home.

HVAC coils and drain areas can be exposed to moisture, creating an environment where microbial buildup may develop over time. Germicidal UV-C lamps are installed within the system to target microorganisms at these vulnerable locations.

By helping keep coil surfaces cleaner, UV technology can contribute to cleaner airflow and better HVAC operating conditions.

Air Design installs Carrier UV lamp systems as part of a broader approach to improving indoor air quality throughout Long Island homes.

Address indoor air concerns where they can begin.

Autumn comfort is influenced by more than temperature.

When heated indoor air becomes excessively dry, homeowners may notice:

• Dry skin and irritated sinuses
• Static electricity throughout the home
• Dry or uncomfortable sleeping conditions
• Shrinking or cracking wood flooring and furniture
• A home that feels cooler than the thermostat suggests

Whole-home humidifiers work with the HVAC system to maintain more balanced moisture levels automatically throughout the house.

Air Design installs bypass, fan-powered, steam, and other whole-home humidification solutions based on the equipment and comfort requirements of each property.

Bring greater balance to your indoor environment during dry-weather months.

A garage conversion, sunroom, finished attic, addition, or bonus room can create a comfort challenge that the original HVAC system was never designed to solve.

Ductless systems bring heating and cooling directly to those spaces without requiring new ductwork throughout the home. Individual zones also allow homeowners to control temperatures where comfort is needed most.

Air Design installs and services ductless systems for Long Island homes, helping match equipment capacity and placement to the way each space is actually used.

For rooms that never seem quite comfortable enough, a targeted solution may be the better approach.

Some indoor air quality concerns begin before air ever reaches the rooms in your home.

Moisture around the HVAC coil and drain pan can create an environment where mold, bacteria, and other microorganisms accumulate. This buildup may contribute to odors, reduced airflow, and declining system cleanliness.

Air Design installs Carrier germicidal UV lamps that direct UV-C light toward these vulnerable areas. By targeting microbial growth at its source, the system helps protect internal components and supports cleaner air movement throughout the home.

Address indoor air quality where the problem may begin—inside the HVAC system.

Indoor humidity influences more than how the air feels.

When moisture levels are too low, homeowners may notice dry skin, irritated sinuses, static electricity, or changes in wood flooring and furniture. When levels are too high, the home can feel heavy and uncomfortable while creating conditions that may encourage unwanted moisture buildup.

Whole-home humidity solutions work with the HVAC system to manage moisture more consistently throughout the living space. Air Design installs equipment that operates automatically and quietly, reducing the need for constant room-by-room adjustments.

Create a more balanced indoor environment as the seasons begin to change.

A tightly sealed home can help conserve energy, but it can also reduce the amount of fresh air moving naturally through the house.

Over time, stale air, lingering odors, excess moisture, and indoor pollutants can become more noticeable when there is not enough ventilation.

Whole-home ventilation systems create a controlled exchange between indoor and outdoor air while helping retain the heating or cooling energy already inside the home.

Depending on the application, an ERV or HRV can help:

• Introduce a steady supply of fresh outdoor air
• Remove stale indoor air and odors
• Reduce indoor pollutant buildup
• Manage excess moisture
• Recover energy from outgoing conditioned air
• Maintain comfort without relying on open windows

Air Design can assess the home’s HVAC system, airflow, and ventilation needs to determine which approach is appropriate.

Give fresh air a more intentional path through your home.

• Sunrooms and additions
• Bonus rooms
• Older areas without existing ductwork

Air Design installs quiet, energy-efficient ductless systems that allow homeowners to control individual zones without opening walls for extensive duct installation.

Give hard-to-heat spaces their own source of dependable comfort.
