🌿🏡 The goal for HANA Apartments was to create a calm, modern residential community that connects everyday living with the natural surroundings of Amberglen Park.

The design responds with light-filled homes, broad windows framing views of green space, and open layouts that feel bright and welcoming. Shared amenities—including work-from-home lounges, a clubhouse, fitness center, and spaces supporting pets and bikes—extend that sense of ease beyond each apartment and support a comfortable, connected lifestyle.

🏫💡 Flexibility, technology, and community connection shaped the learning environment at Clark College’s Columbia Tech Center. The campus brings together classrooms, specialized science and computer labs, study spaces, and a community and business training center to support a wide range of learning experiences.

Adaptable chemistry and biology labs support evolving teaching methods, while technology-equipped classrooms and flexible conference spaces can accommodate instruction, collaboration, training, and larger events. Natural light and exterior views further enhance the learning environment, creating spaces designed to help students focus, connect, and thrive.

🏙️️🌿 The Hurley Office Tower brings modern workplace design to downtown Vancouver while reflecting a strong connection to the city, the river, and the surrounding region. Located on a challenging triangular site, the five-story building maximizes views of the Columbia River and downtown while helping support the continued revitalization of the area.

Inside, natural light, glass partitions, layered textures, and Pacific Northwest-inspired elements create an open and inviting workplace. The design blends Vancouver’s industrial history with a sense of optimism and future growth, supporting Hurley Development’s mission to “Bring Life.”

🏫⚡ Flexibility and connection shaped the design of Mountain View High School, creating future-ready spaces that respond to changing technologies, teaching methods, and student needs.

A variety of learning environments gives students multiple ways to participate, collaborate, and showcase their work. Classrooms, services, and shared spaces are organized around a central “circuit,” making the school easy to navigate while encouraging connection across the campus. Together, these adaptable spaces support personalized learning today while preparing the “Thunder Family” for the future.

🌊🏙️️ RiverWest Apartments reconnects historic downtown Vancouver to the Columbia River waterfront, bringing 206 residences, retail space, and new energy to the city’s emerging waterfront district.

The design blends past and present through a grounded masonry base inspired by downtown and a lighter southern frame oriented toward the river. Its slotted façade and cantilevered form maximize views while creating a memorable sense of connection, place, and belonging.

🌲☀️ Mass timber, daylight, and thoughtful acoustic design shaped Excelsior High School into a warm and supportive learning environment. The exposed wood roof structure brings natural character into the commons, while large south-facing windows and a light-filled corridor bring daylight deep into the school and create inviting places for students to study, gather, and connect.

Acoustic planning and comfortable shared spaces help support focus, communication, and a sense of belonging. Together, these elements create a calm, welcoming school that supports student wellness while offering flexible spaces for learning and community use.

🌿🌤️️ Connection to nature shaped the design of Ruth Bader Ginsburg Elementary School, creating a biophilic learning environment inspired by the surrounding landscape. The building’s central circulation spine, known as “The Stream,” connects learning spaces while bringing elements of water, movement, and discovery throughout the school.

Classroom wings, called “The Canopy,” frame views of trees and the sky, while expanded courtyards and transparent connections allow daylight and the outdoors to extend into the building. Together, these features give students places to learn, gather, reflect, and explore while maintaining a meaningful connection to the natural environment.
