I hate making post like this but other people should know i am so sick and tired of people taking advantage of me.
So far with in the past two months, I haven’t taken advantage of.
First one was a bathroom remodel job basically skim coat the walls which was done and paint the walls which unfortunately wasn’t done. I did not get paid from this job. This job was located in Manchester.
I’ve left tools on this job and material that I have purchased, which has cost me a lot of money.
I have contacted the customer several different occasions no response even just to get my tools back. No response did not ask for a down payment deposit or anything like that because I do always explain to customers that I don’t get paid until the job is done and the customer is happiness, satisfied.
Another job, In Manchester.
This job was ripped down wallpaper, which I got paid for.
Fantastic.
The second job at the same residence was to repair the walls and paint unfortunately I had to go up on my price because I had the skim coat the walls which was the price was agreed to.
Skin coating of the walls, prime the walls again left my tools on the job, expecting to come back to finish the walls.
Nope.
Again, I am out of material money that is on the job. I am also out of tools my tools that were left on the job..
I have worked around this customer schedule, which has prolonged the job from getting done. Something just didn’t seem right and when I was trying to get the job done, the customer would push for me to come late in the afternoon to try to get it done also gave me deadlines, which unfortunately was impossible.
This is the bu****it. I’m tired of this is the type of bu****it why I wanna quit this business too many people are taking advantage of other people and I’m tired of it.
I do everything in my power to make customers happy.
I do my best to stay calm and work around everybody else’s schedule even though you’re hiring a contractor to come in to take care of your project so really you should be working around the contractor schedule not the other way around.
Ever since I started the business, we have never asked for down payment or a deposit. I have also used my own money to get material and I just give the customer the receipt as the customer reimburse me. I do not charge for gas. I do not charge anything extra.
So far I’m out of a lot of money because of these situations and it’s upsetting because I have bills to pay unfortunately, my bills don’t stop because of bad situations.
 I am a very nice contractor and I go above and beyond for customers whether they are new customers or existing customers. I do my best to help as much as I can.
Needless to say, I’m tired of being a good contractor trying to help everybody out for now on I will be asking for half down or payment upfront depending on the type of project it is because this is getting ridiculous and I’m being taken advantage of .
I have been in business for a very long time, and this is happened to me before which I didn’t say anything about it besides for a few times, but now it’s getting to the point where for the past two months, this has happened with several of the customers that I knew that I thought I could trust. I’m done .
