Fall is a great time of year to plant trees. The soil temperatures are warm to spur on root growth, the watering process is shorter and they will be ready to send carbohydrates to their top branches in the spring. We are dodging the rain and planting windbreaks that protect us and provide natural beauty.

🌳 Happy Arbor Day!🌳 We're honored to have provided the official tree that was planted today at the Iowa State Fair.

The Oak is the state tree of Iowa, but the Bur Oak is the only Oak species that is native to all of Iowa's 99 counties, making it the perfect tree to represent the entire state.

We appreciate the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship for the opportunity to be a part of this event, and to the Coalition to Support Iowa's Farmers, Iowa 4-H and the Iowa FFA Association for their partnership in this youth-focused tree planting initiative.
