ARCHITECTURAL
It’s the thing about art - it’s subjective. This piece by of Sweden works on a tension between structure and collapse. A crisp geometric polyhedron, drawn in confident graphite lines, sits over loose washes of charcoal, umber and bone white. Then the paint pulls loose and drips toward the floor, so the form looks both carefully built and coming undone, like an architect’s sketch left out in the rain.
The handwritten script running across the canvas adds to that Idea.
That’s our story, though.
Carola’s intentions belong to her, and yours belong to you.
What do you see?
