Happy Halloween, Blessed Samhain, y Feliz Dia de los Mu***os (mañana). The veil is thin and so is my patience. These holidays celebrate the final harvest, mark the turning of the wheel into the dark, inward season, and honor our beloved dead and ancestors.
Here's some seasonal journaling prompts:
🏵️ Who are your beloved dead? What makes them so? Beloved Dead don't have to be biological family. They can be known or unknown to you. They are those who's memory you want to keep alive and honor. Who are yours? How do you honor them?
🥸 Who would you love to dress up as? Why them? Is it their look? Who they are? What they stand for? What would the costume look like?
🕯️ When you are an ancestor, how would you like to be honored? What offerings would be given to welcome you? What items would especially delight you or gain your favor?
🌽 What are you harvesting? What are you composting? What have you built that you are now reaping the rewards? What no longer serves you and is being returned to the source?
🗨️ Who would you speak to on the other side? Family? Ancestor? Known or unknown? What would you ask them? What would you share with them? What do you think would blow their mind?
