Complete Building Services

Complete Building Services CBS is a facilities management and maintenance company that has provided operations, maintenance and repair of world-class facilities since 1963.
Complete Building Services (CBS) was established in 1963 in response to a growing need for building engineers and maintenance professionals in Washington, DC. Following the energy crisis in the 1970’s, CBS created the Energy Management Division to offer customers computerized management of their buildings’ mechanical and lighting systems. After a half century of success, CBS further expanded to include complete facilities management services, and now maintains major facilities for private and government clients in the DC area. Since our inception, our goal has been to provide technical expertise and cost-effective services to our clients. Our parent organization, The Donohoe Companies, Inc., was established in 1884. Donohoe and its Construction, Real Estate, Hospitality, Development and Facilities Management divisions is the oldest and one of the largest full-service real estate companies in the greater Washington DC area. CBS is proud to be a part of a team with more than 130 years of tradition and experience serving property owners and operators.

We provide Facilities Management, Operations & Maintenance, HVAC Services, Plumbing, and Energy Management/Building Automation Systems contracts with over 250 clients in Maryland, Virginia, and DC. At Complete Building Services, we are committed to building strong business relationships by providing quality service to our clients and solving problems quickly and cost-effectively, while maintaining our reputation for fairness and integrity.

The Service Plumber position supports our commercial, municipal, and federal clients in the field. We are seeking those that have attained their Journeyman/Masters within Plumbing in Maryland, VA, or DC. We are expanding our team and will hire up to three.

You won't find a job description for a Commercial Service Plumber here because frankly, the person we're going to hire already knows the job because it's been their trade and they have been living this trade day in and day out.

So let's talk about what you really want to know..."why should I bring my talents to CBS?"

For starters, you'll be paid for what you can fix. Regardless of license, if you're capable of performing any job we have, you're going to make towards the top of our pay range. Not too mention the overtime pay as well. We know some of you don't always get consistent hours, but we got your back here at CBS.

Secondly, even though we're a 100 million dollar company, we're still family run. We take care of our employees with great medical, dental, vision insurance (industry leading), we have a match % on your 401k, we have maternal/paternal leave for new borns/adoptions, vacation, company sponsored events (cookouts, holiday parties, etc.). CBS understands that if they take care of you then you can take care of them. Both sides have to be invested in each other.

Lastly, we're about respect and integrity. All of our executives have worked up from apprentices in the trade to where they are today. We build career plans around each of our employees to ensure those that work hard and invest in themselves have a road to success within our organization of 450 people.

As much as we would love to talk with everyone, there are a few things we are looking for in your background:

Journeyman/Master Plumbing License
Backflow Certification
WSSC Certification (Plus)
Commercial background (Plus)

You know you're the right Plumber for us if you get mad when your work get's covered up by the drywall. That's the kind of pride we search for in our Commercial Service Plumbers.
