Slide the pocket doors back and the breakfast bar steps out: a marble backsplash and counter set against black shelving, a stack of drawers, and integrated lighting tucked along the back edge and under every shelf. Below the counter, a metal-lined drawer keeps bread and pastries fresh. It could just as easily hold small appliances, refrigerator drawers for juices and coffee add-ins, or an icemaker. Your call.

Then close it all up. The working parts of the kitchen vanish, the oak takes over, and the room is free to be whatever you need it to be.

This is just one space in our Wayne, PA showroom. Come open the doors yourself.

Look at the edge of that door. The reed ends whole. So does every other reed on every other panel on this wall.

That took some doing. Our cabinetry partners at Premier hand-select their oak veneer by the log, from sources all over the world, and plan every panel’s layout before a single door gets built. For this wall, they center-balanced the reeded boards from the middle out, making minute adjustments until each panel finished on a full-width ridge. Then they lined up the grain so it runs unbroken, top to bottom, through every column of doors.

Obsessive? Completely. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

And behind all those ridges sits refrigeration, a pantry, ovens, a breakfast bar, and vertical storage, hiding in plain sight inside one wall of rift-cut white oak.

This wall lives in one of the spaces in our Wayne, PA showroom. Come see the grain line up for yourself.

One of our designers used reeded wood and fluted glass in a stunning renovation project, and we loved the result as much as the homeowners did. So we designed a reeded kitchen for our showroom.

On the left, a wall of rift-cut white oak doors milled with reeds, each one center-balanced from the middle out so every panel ends on a full-width ridge and the grain runs unbroken from top to bottom.

Flanking the range, fluted glass carries that same rhythm into light. Those doors hang in frames just 1¼ inches wide, on hinges so slim and dark they vanish the moment you open them. Inside, the oak returns in a pale finish, lit from within, so the cabinets glow like lanterns after sundown.

Then the hood breaks rank. Hand-shaped steel, finished with a custom Winter Blue patina, sits dead center like it owns the place. (It does.)

What makes a good kitchen great? Or a great kitchen perfect? Harmony.

Our stone technicians matched the veining on the shelf edge to the backsplash below, so one vein runs straight through two pieces of marble. The six-inch ledge conceals its own under-shelf lighting, and outlets are tucked into the glass-front cabinets on either side of the hood, where you’ll never spot them.

At the base, beveled dividers give the cabinetry the bearing of fine furniture, and slim finger grips do the job hardware usually does. Sometimes less is more. And more is more. It all comes together harmoniously, thanks to best-in-class materials and Bluebell’s inimitable kitchen design.

This island front started as a single slab of Italian Calacatta Paonazzo, the kind of marble collectors fight over.

Our stone engineer drew up a plan to cut right-angle channels a half inch deep across its entire face, integrating the stone into a kitchen full of reeded elements boasting elegant vertical lines.

Now, the unique veins of this marble splinter and reassemble slat by slat, and the whole panel looks like it’s breathing.

Cuts that deep leave the marble a quarter inch thin in places, which would be reckless if we hadn’t planned for it. But we did. A ¾-inch quartz backing went on before the first cut, so this panel will shrug off machining, installation, and decades of kicks from anyone perched on those stools.

We chose this gorgeous slab for the tension in it: deep oxblood and moss-green veining pulling against a warm, sandy field. When it comes to movement in stone that’s this expressive, balance is key. Swipe to see what surrounds this backsplash: a gorgeous range and hood, Tuscan-inspired brick, and custom cabinetry and hardware to match the finish of the range.

As always, photos never quite do the real thing justice. Stop by our showroom in Wayne to see this stunning display in person.

At Fuller Interiors, we love the transformation that comes with the renovation. There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing a space go from the “before “ to the “after” and watching a vision come to life.

A successful renovation starts with having the right team in place from the very beginning. Collaborating is the key, and we love working alongside talented architects, builders, craftsman, and the homeowners to create something truly special.❤️

From kitchen, renovations, and the whole home transformation to the new construction, were there from the initial vision through the finishing touches. Thinking about renovating or building? We’d love to help bring your vision to life.

Haverford is the kitchen of our dreams, with deliberation in every detail and sunlight on every square foot.

Take a look at that gorgeous La Cornue range. Kitchen functionality is built into everything around it. To the left, a double-stadium spice pullout for easy access while cooking. To the right, tray and utensil pull-outs, each to our client’s specifications.

Opposite the range, a gorgeous Grothouse end grain butcherblock sits atop an island packed with more kitchen storage.

And then there’s the light. More than a workspace, the Haverford kitchen is designed to be savored, a space to linger in – the new heart of the home.

This Haverford kitchen used to be a sunroom, and in some ways, it still is.

The home was originally built in 1910. Over time, it took on both Hollywood Regency and mid-century modern styles in its layout and look. Designing a kitchen in this space required both taste and vision – foresight for stylistic longevity and an esteem for the home’s heritage. Consider the skylight, the flow, the use of metal and glass.

We tell part of this story through cabinetry design. Featuring select hardware and finely-finished millwork, each area of the kitchen speaks to the history of the room and home. Now, subtle echoes of Old Hollywood polish and mid-century calm are held together by seamlessly installed cabinetry and sunlight that never seems to have left the room.

Here’s to another century of design excellence at Haverford.
