🌿 TIME TO BRING YOUR TROPICALS INSIDE! 🪴

The cooler nights are here, and nighttime temperatures can quickly become damaging to tropical plants. If you have tropicals spending the summer outdoors, the next couple of days are a great time to start bringing them inside! 🍂

Before you move them indoors, give them a little transition care:

🪴 Repot if needed — Now is a great time to give root-bound plants a fresh pot and fresh soil.

🐜 Treat for pests — Carefully inspect leaves, stems, and the undersides of leaves, and treat before bringing plants inside. You don’t want to introduce unwanted guests to your indoor plant collection!

💧 Ease back on watering — As temperatures and light levels decrease, plants won’t use water as quickly. Let the soil dry a little more between waterings.

🌱 Ease back on fertilizer — Your plants are naturally slowing down as we head into the cooler, darker months. Hold back on feeding as they transition indoors.

☀️ Give them the best light you can — Place them in a bright location and keep them away from cold drafts and heating vents.

A little preparation now can make the difference between a tropical that thrives indoors and one that struggles through the winter! 🌿💚
