πŸ‚ Fall is secretly the absolute best time to spruce up your yardβ€”even better than spring!

If you’ve been looking at a bare spot in your yard, wanting a little more privacy from neighbors, or just wishing your landscape had a bit more color, right now is the perfect time to plant trees and shrubs here in Central North Carolina.

You don’t need a green thumb to get great results this time of year. Here is why planting right now makes yard work so much easier:

Nature does the hard work: Because the scorching summer heat is gone, new plants don’t get stressed out. The soil is still nice and warm, which gives roots a cozy environment to settle in.

Less watering for you: Cooler fall days and seasonal rain mean you won’t have to baby your new plants or run out with the hose every day.

A big head start for next year: While your plants look like they are resting on top, they are secretly growing a huge root system all winter. When next spring arrives, your plants will be strong, established, and ready to thrive!

πŸ‘‹ Looking for something specific? Let us track it down!

You don't have to drive all over town searching through picked-over big-box stores. We are not designers, but as a grower, we do have access to a large network of local wholesale growers. That means most of the time we can locate what you need for your yard directly from the source.

Whether you want a gorgeous blooming shrub (like a stunning Encore Azalea or Oakleaf Hydrangea), a sturdy shade tree (like a fiery Autumn Blaze Maple), or an easy-care privacy hedge (like a dense Nellie R. Stevens Holly), we can usually find it for you right here in our area.

πŸ“© Send us a quick message right now! Tell us what plants you're looking for to complete your yard, and we’ll tap into our grower network to find them for you!

The loquat (Eriobotrya japonica) is a fast-growing, evergreen tree or shrub prized for its large, glossy, dark green leaves, fragrant white winter flowers, and sweet, pear-shaped orange fruit that ripens in early spring. Typically reaching 15–25 feet, it thrives in USDA Hardiness Zones 8–11. Mild winters, here in the variable zone 8A it can produce fruit. The more mature the tree (this one is 5 years from seedling stage) the better the chance of fruit production.

Even if it doesn't fruit though, it's a really top notch evergreen addition to any landscape!
