Let’s say goodbye to summer with a recent install of new outdoor sofas that look like indoor sofas. 😍 With the addition of a new pergola and existing outdoor furniture from MHID, I space planned and mix and matched the new and existing furniture under the pergola as well as their existing 3 season porch living space. I love how these spaces turned out! Annnnnnnndd I got to meet their new furry family member. 🥰😻
Have a fantastic week!! 🤗

Tonight was our fall kickoff event for NDID (North Dakota Interior Designers)! We were most fortunate to tour the beautiful new library in Moorhead. I highly recommend checking it out! We then headed over to River Haven for appetizers and our meeting. We talked about the history of our NDID organization (it is 22 years old!), the benefits of belonging, how far our industry has come and how our scholarships have grown. I love being part of NDID and our wonderful design community! 🩵

Hey it’s me! Thank you to Brady Drake and Meet Fargo for including me in this issue. Always grateful to share my business story. 🩷

PS. Me thinks I need a new headshot. This one is from 4-1/2 years ago. 🙈

TBT!
My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in June. We went on our first cruise and enjoyed going to Europe for the first time. See my previous posts from June to see our visits to Italy and France. Our final country was Spain and I think we saved the best for last. Barcelona was extraordinary. Something I have wanted to see in person for over 30 years was The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia. Seeing Gaudi’s masterpiece in person was emotional for me. We studied Antonio Gaudi in one of my design classes in college and there were pictures of this church in my text book (30+ years ago). When we walked up to it, it took my breath away and I started crying. This basilica is truly something to behold… The intricate details, the thought process, the color choices, the story it tells, the height and sheer scale is truly breathtaking. The Pope agrees! We missed him blessing the basilica by ONE day - consecrating it on the exact day of Gaudi’s death 100 years later. You guys. Construction on this basilica started in 1882. 🤯 If interested, look up “God’s architect” Antoni Gaudi along with the Sagrada Família. Pictures don’t do justice to the intricate, colorful and masterful depictions all around the building with nothing looking the same, yet everything tying together. One facade has yet to be finished - another decade seems to be the hope. I plan to be back to see it done… I recognized several of Gaudi’s other buildings right away. Barcelona was vibrant, clean and energetic. It was the perfect end to our anniversary trip. ❤️🇪🇸

Tuesday Transformation! 🥰
Last Wednesday a friend of mine asked for help with some paint ideas for a new to them building. It also needed to fit in with the buildings around it. We were also in a time crunch - the painters were starting Monday. I pulled together two color schemes (this one was my favorite!), put the facade into a program I have and placed the paint colors where I felt they worked best. I sent the paint schemes last Thursday afternoon. Yesterday the painters started and today the building looks like this!! 😍 Thinking of painting but unsure of a palette? Let me take away some of the stress and let me help you! 🤗
