I loved staging this adorable home—With two bedrooms, two baths, and a beautiful, usable yard, it has so much to offer. I think it will go quickly!

Never underestimate the value and impact of occupied staging!

Another occupied staging! This beautiful Farmington home was so much fun to stage—both inside and out—and truly had a room to suit every personality!

The icing on the cake was the beautiful testimonial the homeowner asked if he could share. Knowing that my work made such a difference is exactly why I love what I do! 🏡✨

"To say that I lack a designer’s eye would be akin to saying that a right angle is 90 degrees…thank goodness for Janice and The Spirited Design! In prepping and staging my home for sale this week, her designers lens and easy going manner were just what the doctor ordered to make my house look like something you’d see in a magazine feature! There is no doubt her work will help me grab every single possible dollar from prospective buyers…the only problem is, it looks so good now I am not sure I want to sell it!! Thanks Janice for your guidance, care, and even the laughs as I watched you primp, fluff and polish the aesthetic here in my family’s home! You rock!"

Hello beautiful cleints!

I hope you're all enjoying the Summer of 2026. How did August arrive so quickly?

With all the heat and rain we've had, have you found it challenging to keep up with the weeding and keep your outdoor spaces looking as fresh as your seasonal home décor? Or are you already transitioning to fall with blooming sedum, cheerful marigolds, zinnias, and little touches of orange throughout your garden?

This year, I've had the pleasure of helping clients beautify both their outdoor living spaces and their home's interiors. It's always rewarding to create spaces that reflect the season and bring joy every time you walk through the door. I also have been very busy working on additional therapy offices and spaces, and staging homes for sale.
These jobs have been both rewarding and fun to create!

One of the easiest updates is simply changing your accessories. Swapping in lighter rugs, colorful pillows, and soft throws can instantly brighten a room and bring in the feeling of summer while still working beautifully with your existing furniture.
The good news is that color and pattern are back!
Don't feel intimidated about mixing them into your home. If you're just getting started, choose colors that complement each other and pair larger-scale patterns with smaller ones that share a similar color palette or mood. It's an easy way to add personality without overwhelming a space.

One trend I'm seeing is that many clients are ready to move beyond the all-gray palettes that have been popular for so long. They're embracing color again! Beautiful blues, nature-inspired greens, warm oranges and terracottas, and even rich aubergine tones pair wonderfully with gray and add warmth, personality, and timeless style.

What colors are inspiring you this season? I'd love to hear how you're bringing the beauty of the outdoors into your home! I often find my inspiration in nature!

And as always, thank you for allowing me to 'bring your rooms to life!"

Every home tells a story, and this one was especially memorable. Staging this beautiful occupied home, surrounded by breathtaking grounds, was a unique opportunity. The interior had a distinctly European feel-warm, elegant and beautiful. My goal was simply to highlight what was already there, yet help buyers fall in love it's character.

I just finished designing another new therapy office for West Hartford Holistic Counseling in West Hartford (WHHC), creating a Boho-inspired space that accentuates the angles and the beautiful light in this office.
