✨ Update from Hulbert & Co. ✨

It’s been way too long since our last post — over a year of nonstop projects behind the scenes — but we’re excited to share one of our recent transformations!

We just completed a full-house remodel in Amberleigh Village, West Lafayette, working alongside Studio Seung. This home got the full treatment:

✦ All new flooring throughout
✦ Fresh paint from top to bottom
✦ Complete remodel of all 3 bathrooms including tile
✦ Brand new kitchen and windows
✦ New lighting, hardware, and fixtures everywhere

Basically… the works!

It went from dated and tired to bright, modern, and move-in ready.

Swipe through some of our photos and let us know what you think.

If you’re in the Lafayette area and have a remodel project in mind, feel free to reach out. We’d love to help bring your vision to life.

Just wrapped up the finishing touches on this kitchen remodel by installing a classic subway tile backsplash! While I didn’t capture too many before photos, this space was in serious need of an update. We previously installed new cabinets, appliances, flooring, and fresh paint. Now, with the tile complete, this kitchen is looking sharp! Ceramic subway tile is a budget-friendly way to add a clean, polished finish to any kitchen.

The American Dream is alive and strong, carefully crafted one picket at a time. 🇺🇸

As promised, here are the final photos of the white picket fence we’ve been working on in the Arbor Chase subdivision. It’s always rewarding to see a project come together, and this one is no exception! This high-quality vinyl fence, reinforced with aluminum supports, offers a classic, timeless look without the upkeep of traditional wood.

It’s been a busy season, but projects like these remind me why I love what I do, bringing visions to life, from the ground up, one detail at a time. ⚒

It’s been a busy summer, and I haven’t shared much lately! We got rained out today 🌧️, but here’s a quick time-lapse from yesterday of a beautiful vinyl fence we're installing in the Arbor Chase subdivision of West Lafayette. This high quality fence with tightly spaced pickets is a great solution for keeping small pets secure 🐾. Check back next week for the final photos!

🚿 Bathroom Transformation in a Historic Home! 🛠️

We're excited to share this stunning bathroom remodel in a beautiful old house. When we arrived, it was a blank canvas with bare flooring joists and no insulation.

Here’s what we did to bring this empty space back to life:

🔨 Leveled the floor joists, which were sagging up to 2 inches in some places.
🔨 Installed new subfloor, insulation, and drywall.
🔨 Laid down lots of large format 2x2 foot tiles, creating a sleek and modern look.
🔨 Used hex tiles in the shower area for a unique touch.
🔨 Finished with real marble trim tiles for a touch of luxury.

At Hulbert & Co., we take pride in preserving the character of historic homes while giving them a fresh, modern update.

🔨 Elevating Deck Safety and Style! 🔨

Check out this incredible transformation of a large deck built high on a slope. Over time, the deck boards were deteriorating rapidly, and the old geometric-style railing was falling apart, creating unsafe conditions for young kids. 🚸

We took on the challenge and made some major upgrades:

🔧 Reinforced and replaced sections of the substructure where needed to ensure stability.
🔧 Replaced all the deck boards for a fresh, durable surface.
🔧 Installed new rail posts and modern wire mesh panels for a clean, contemporary look and improved safety.

🛠️ Transforming Outdoor Spaces! 🛠️

Even covered decks can show signs of wear and tear over time, especially around the edges. 🌧️ This recent project was a perfect example. The tongue and groove flooring of this beautiful covered porch needed some TLC to bring it back to life.

Swipe to see the before and after photos! ➡️

✨ Before: You can see the deterioration along the edges.
✨ After: With a few courses of wood replaced, the deck looks sharp and is ready for the homeowner's fresh coat of paint.
