Trying an old trick I was told by my mentor RIP. He told me to not change out the the old can caps but reform them. I tend to disagree, here we go. Craftsmen 800 tuner/preamp. The ESR was ok before I started. I am using a variac at a 40v for 8 hours, then 80 v. The cans are running at room temp so far. No heat on the pt or anywhere else. So far so good.
