Sometimes the best ideas come from a completely random conversation. 😂

While filming with Jesse Sexton of Sexton's Landscaping, LLC, Kara Bruner (Ward) happened to walk by which naturally turned into Damon and Jesse throwing out ideas for what Downtown Willard could use next.

One idea that came up: a family-friendly game room or gathering space with things like board games, pool, darts, arcade games, food and drinks.

Nothing formal. Just neighbors talking about what could make Downtown Willard even more fun and active.

That’s one of the things we love most about this Revitalizing Downtown Willard series hearing different ideas from people who live and work here.

🌱 A Willard business with roots going back decades.

We sat down with Jesse Sexton of Sexton's Landscaping, LLC to learn more about the business, the services they offer, and what it means to continue serving the community he was born and raised in.

Jesse has been landscaping since 1989, with Sexton’s Landscaping officially operating since 2007. Today, they handle a little bit of everything from residential and commercial landscaping to hardscapes, softscapes, mowing, maintenance, light excavation, tile work and more.

And something homeowners may not realize: they also sell bulk landscaping materials directly to the public.

Need mulch, stone, limestone or block for your own patio, walkway or garden wall project? They offer both pickup and delivery, typically within about a 45-minute radius of Willard.

For Jesse, though, it all comes back to one thing: taking care of the people who have supported the business. “Customers keep us alive, and the community keeps us alive as well.”
