Currently obsessed with my Hoya flavida 💚✨

This underrated Hoya is exploding with growth from every direction, and the sunstressed new leaves are stealing the show. Fast-growing, easygoing, and seriously underrated! 🌿🔥

My greenhouse is putting on quite the show lately with all the beautiful Hoya sunstress colors! 🌿✨

Sunstressing is a natural response to higher light levels that brings out stunning shades of pink, red, purple, bronze, and silver in Hoya leaves. It’s not the same as sunburn. Healthy sunstressing happens gradually with the right balance of light, water, and nutrients.

With multiple T8 lights overhead and dedicated T5 lights on every shelf, many of my Hoyas are showing off their best colors right now. Watching each variety develop its own unique hues is one of the most rewarding parts of growing these incredible plants! 💚🌸

I opened the greenhouse this afternoon and was immediately greeted by the sweetest floral fragrance. I knew one of my many Hoya blooms had finally opened, and it was my beautiful Hoya Rebecca. 🌸✨

Its fuzzy pink blooms and creamy star-shaped centers are even more stunning in person, and the scent makes the wait completely worth it. Moments like this are why I love growing Hoyas. 💕

The greenhouse is thriving lately! 🌿✨ My imports from Thailand are settling in beautifully, pushing out tons of new growth and even a few blooms already. There’s plenty of gorgeous sun stressing happening, and every time I walk in, something new is growing. It’s such a rewarding season! 💚

My Hoya fitchii has been absolutely thriving since moving into one of my self watering pots and my custom Hoya mix. The roots have taken off, the vines are growing, and the foliage has never looked better.

The intricate veining on the leaves is what makes this species so special, and it’s rewarding to see it so happy in its new setup. Sometimes a plant just lets you know you’ve found the right combination, and this fitchii is definitely one of them.

My Hoya Rosita decided to bloom in the greenhouse, and it did not disappoint! ❤️✨ The blooms were dripping with nectar and, while they weren’t fragrant at all, their rich color reminds me of oranges, cranberries, and pomegranates. Such a beautiful reward for all this new growth season. 🌿

Hoya Sunrise continues to earn its place as a favorite. Easy to grow, fast to vine, and capable of some incredible red and purple sun stressing when given the right conditions. The contrast between the dark veins and colorful foliage is hard to beat.

I’ve been growing and propagating this one, and I’ll have plenty of Hoya Sunrise cuttings available this fall in a variety of sizes at the festivals. Keep an eye out if this beauty has been on your wishlist!

Hoya polyneura inner variegated is one of those plants that stops you in your tracks. The iconic fishtail leaves are stunning on their own, but add creamy inner variegation and every leaf becomes a little work of art. Slow? Maybe. Worth the wait? Absolutely.

Hoya pubicalyx x Pink Silver Ghost has been such a fun one to grow. I received it in July 2025 as a fresh single node, two leaf cutting, and it has absolutely taken off.

The silver splash on these long, elegant leaves is incredible, and every new leaf seems to come in with its own unique pattern. From a tiny cutting to a well-established plant with multiple vines and steady growth, this hybrid has quickly become one of the standouts in my collection

This is what a fresh cutting can look like in 11 months. I received a fresh single node two leaf cutting of Hoya Millie July ‘25. She is now a full blown plant.

Hoya Millie is such an underrated Hoya. The dark green leaves are thick and glossy with beautiful silver splash, and it grows into a full, lush plant with time. Easygoing, rewarding, and always putting on a show, it’s one of those Hoyas that just keeps getting better as it matures.
