Rarely have I seen such veracity, facility and mastery. Each dancer, with decades of dedication, bore fruit in these precious moments. I held my breath for the hour and 15 minute uninterrupted run. This piece responds to what it means to be a woman (of a certain age) during this time of Epstein, Cornell & Mano sphere. The choreography, the set, the minimalist production were all astounding. RUN, don’t walk to the showing when this returns to the Joyce next February.

These prayers are for the sacred waters of Tibet and Nepal. Never have I met a more peaceful people. Never have I felt more reverence for spirit and the daily commitment for prayer. May balance be restored. May we remember our place within the larger web of life and our responsibility to all sentient beings.
