Kim Smith Fong is the owner and lead designer for Studio Song, an Interior Design and Consultation Studio who includes many of Atlanta’s unique restaurants, boutiques and residences in their portfolio. Studio Song relies on her relationships with not only her clients but other talented designers and artists to create one-of-a kind spaces full of original pieces. Kim is probably best known in the area for her former self, the owner of Eclectic Electric Gallery. Eclectic Electric, which was located in both the VA-HI and Roswell neighborhoods, brought many local and national Artists together with the common thread of “light as a medium” for nearly 15 years before closing her doors so that Kim could focus on raising her son and creating personal environments. As both a designer and gallery owner, Kim has worked with 100’s of artists to design interesting and often “out of the box” creations for her clients. Dabbling in mixed media, graphics, neon, landscape and floral design, Kim’s experiences are many and varied. She feeds from all her experiences as well as her inspired portfolio of creative friends to continue to develop herself as a designer and artist. In the community, Kim serves on several committees and stays involved with her community. Some of her greatest joys are the Kids in the Smoke Rise Prep Learning Community. As a founder and Director of Operations, she stays passionately involved in the development of this new concept in public education. Dedicated to the arts and a more “magical” world, Kim Smith Fong will continue to look for new avenues to not only express herself but to bring a bit of creative “light” to others.
