I don’t know why, but November flew by so fast. My house is decorated, and my trees are a beautiful sight for the holidays. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Here’s to a slower December as we soak in all the beautiful holiday moments.

I forgot how hard it is to train a puppy, and especially when getting ready for the holidays. Thankfully Riley is leaving this beautiful tree alone. Under the tree was always a favorite place for Jake to lay, and I’m hoping she will do this one day as well. For now, I’m just happy she’s not chewing on all the trees, garland and decorations.

It’s hard to believe that the Christmas season is almost here, and I’m so excited to share my tree this year. I fill their beautiful trees with ornaments I’ve collected since I had my very first tree, and love that their trees can hold so many memories. As I decorate, I find myself reflecting on the past year and thinking about the next year. What will be different? Who will I be missing? Yes, dear Jake, I am missing you this year. We had 12 wonderful Christmases with our precious pup. I know this was his favorite time of year, as he loved laying under our Christmas trees. As presents were wrapped and put under the tree, he complained a little so I always made a spot for him. This year we are blessed to have our little girl Riley, who will take his spot under this King of Christmas tree and carry on the joy of Christmas in our home.

This 7.5’ King Fraser Fir Slim tree is perfect for those spaces that can’t accommodate a fuller tree, yet full enough to be your statement tree. I have a link in my bio if you need a new tree this year!!

Thanksgiving is the holiday that I decorate the table with all my fancy things, so I thought I would share this one with you as it’s more Christmasy than Thanksgivingsy (word?). I bought a handful of fresh pomegranates to accent the greenery that I already had on hand. I used two garlands of faux eucalyptus greens, laying one over the other. I added in eucalyptus and berry stems to make it fuller, and then accented it with the pomegranates and candles. Since pomegranates store up to 2 months in the fridge, I’ll be using them again on my table during this holiday season - even if the rest of the table isn’t as fancy.

Have a good Thursday, it’s almost Friday!!

Decorating with my cherished ornaments and decor is one of my favorite parts of the Christmas season. The last few years I’ve been lucky to add holidays pieces to my collection, like these exquisite Christmas Magic Deer (Resting and Standing). I love how they compliment my home’s Christmas coziness and make a statement on my table. The details are stunning, from their gold antlers to jewel-encrusted Courtly Checked blankets. The kind of decor that you bring out year after year and - one day - hand down their products to my children when they have their own homes to decorate.
