Have you lit the fire yet?

We have! 🙋

It's definitely getting into cosy season and we love stoking the fire in out log burner with our handmade fire pokers.

We sell fire pokers and full companion sets on our website - or if you book an experience day you could make your own!

Two wonderful guests welcomed to our forge this weekend. 🔥
Both did incredibly well, Bel made a fire steel for her forest school and Mike made a fire poker to use at home ☺️

We are looking forward to welcoming guests to the forge on Saturday!

On our experience days, 1 or 2 guests can enjoy a morning or afternoon in the forge with Matt & Harry.

Learn more about the ancient craft of blacksmithing, test your strength on the anvil and leave with a full tummy from rocket stove cooked refreshments and your very own hand crafted piece of blacksmith work.

You can choose to make a fire poker, bottle opener or leaf key ring.

Our experience days are perfect for couples, friends or those just wanting some escapism trying something new.

Experience days are for those aged 16 + and must be booked online in advance.

Why not treat someone to an experience day for Christmas?

✨We've invested in something pretty cool, which we will share soon

Thanks as ever for all the amazing feedback about how you've seen our sign, follow us on socials or seen us at shows before, it means the world to us.

Thanks for following! 👋🏼

Who are we? Well new followers, here's a bit about us...

We are Matt & Harry from Saxon Forge, based in East Sussex, UK.

We specialise in making outdoor cooking equipment from steel - in particular rocket stoves.

You'll see us out and about at country shows demonstrating how easy they are to use.

We also make sculptures from used horseshoes, axes and knives made from farriers rasps.

Let us know what video content you'd like to see from the forge!
