🍂The parade comes indoors at about the same time the weather does.

Which is roughly the point when a house stops being somewhere you sleep and becomes somewhere you sit. They’re made for the parts of it that come back into use around now.

Autumn is a season for gathering things up and keeping them somewhere warm. This is a very small way of doing that: a shelf, a windowsill, a desk, and something to look at while the mornings go misty outside it.

Bringing to life The Meadow Wooden Honey Drizzler - The Honey Keeper 🍯

A new companion has wandered into The Meadow collection, a hand-carved wooden drizzler with a small bear perched at the top, dressed in a green coat and a ribbon tied just so. One wears coral, the other gold.

There is a sound a honey jar makes when the lid comes off. A soft catch, then a give. Most of us have stopped hearing it. He hears it every time.

He is there for the lift. He is there for the turn. He is there for the last golden thread that refuses to let go of the spoon. Breakfast is not a task he is helping you complete. It is the thing he came for.

Now available at anornament.com, ready to take up his post beside your honey jar.

The Garrulous Observer has plenty to say, and has never once said it.

You know the look. The long neck held high, the flat unblinking eye, the absolute certainty that you have done something wrong and it is about to be raised with you. Down by the canal they'll follow you a fair distance to make the point. This one has the decency to keep it to himself.

There's no painted expression here - just white, a red beak, and the shape of the thing. Which is the difficult part. Get the tilt of the neck wrong and you have nothing at all. Get it right and it's him, the one from the towpath, the one your grandmother kept by the back door. So each is cut by hand, a little at a time, until the attitude arrives.

He asks for nothing. A windowsill, perhaps. Somewhere to stand and quietly judge the room.

August light does something to a small wooden dog.

It finds the carved edges - all those little facets left by the knife - and turns them soft and gold, the way late summer turns everything soft and gold. Somebody sat with each of these for hours, taking the shape out of a plain block of wood one cut at a time. Then painted a spotted neckerchief on, because why not.

The grey one is quietly thoughtful. The cream one is the optimist. The brown one has clearly done something and isn't telling.

Meet The Little Scholar - hand-carved, hand-painted, no two faces quite alike. Small enough for your palm, though they somehow always end up in the sunniest spot in the house.

The wood already had a cat in it. We just had to find it.

Chisel by chisel, the cat comes forward. The spine first - that long, confident curve that tells you everything about how a cat carries itself. Then the head, which takes its own kind of patience. Then the face, which always takes the longest. There’s something in the expression that has to be coaxed out slowly.

By the end, it doesn’t feel like something we made. It feels like something we uncovered.

There’s a point in every piece where you stop rushing. This is that point.

The detailing takes longer than carving the whole figure. Most people never see it, but you feel it when you hold the finished piece. Something in the face that took time to find. A quiet steadiness that only comes from not hurrying.

If your cat could choose a planet to rule… which one would it be?

Earth for the calm observers, Mars for the chaotic zoomies, or perhaps the Moon for those who disappear all day and reappear at dinner time.

Our The Universe According to Them is hand-carved from natural wood and designed with interchangeable planet options -Mars, Venus, Mercury, Earth, and Moon - so you can choose the one that feels most like your feline companion.

Thoughtfully crafted to bring warmth, personality, and a quiet charm to the little corners of home.

Bringing to life The Universe According to Them 🪐

Every cat has always known it. The sun rises on their terms. The tides answer to them. And somewhere, out among the stars, there is a planet that is entirely, unmistakably, theirs.

The Universe According to Them is a hand-carved wooden cat figurine - crowned in gold, seated upon a planet of their choosing. Earth, Mars, the Moon, Venus, or Mercury. Each world is painted by hand. Each cat a character all of their own.

The two connect with a satisfying click of a magnet. And can be swapped, rearranged, reconsidered. Because in their universe, the rules are theirs to make.

For the cat who already rules the shelf. And the person who loves them enough to give them a planet.
