Domesti-Kate is a holistic organisation consulting business which aims to help people create peace and order in their homes. I believe organising one’s external environment is a powerful medium to reconnect with inner values and find peace and meaning in our lives. "Organising" sounds very boring alone but its meaning and purpose is largely misunderstood. "Things" are a way of holding onto the past or fear of the future. When most people "tidy" or "organise" they actually just tend to just shift things around their house much like how most people work through their internal thoughts and emotions. When I say "organising" is largely misunderstood, I mean that there is a difference between: Decluttering, Cleaning, Organising. It's important to recognise the difference between them. Decluttering is essential to actually make space for the things in our life that bring us joy and help us be present in the now. People mostly miss this step completely or over complicate this process by focussing on what to throw away instead of what to keep. Decluttering is actually about letting go of the past, removing fear of the future and learning to be present. This actually has a lot of emotional & spiritual importance and needs to be approach with a sense of joy not fear.
