A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of transforming a pond garden and deck garden. A careful plan of dark brown paint that I mixed myself and a colour palette of browns blue and yellows. I will really look forward to seeing this garden settle in. The cherry on the top for us was when the client and I had a brain wave and placed the beautiful swan painted black positioned pride of place on top of the water wall feature. I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the client and making this garden reflect her personality in a sustainable way.

A new trio arrived and installed in winton park today. An eventful installation including being shocked from a crack in the pump cable joiner whilst emptying the pond . Problem found and fixed .
Ugh the rain! That didn’t make it easy but all in all it is done and looking stunning again. Everybody sent home early to get dry and warm again.

After 11 years going our pond has sprung a real leak. Time to investigate why. We installed this liner with the original landscaping project over 11 years ago. The liner is a rubberised tarpaulin. So it has lasted quite a while.

The perfect non slip pathway, concrete sleepers with a rough texture and a nice gradual slope with easy steps. A walk up a bank feels like a walk in the park. Add rocks for a gorgeous supportive wall in steep spaces. Stabilised with cement and sand, This pathway isn’t going anywhere.

There is something about a freshly and very neatly clipped hedge! And if you have a hedge that should be clipped it needs to be done right otherwise don’t bother. I think the skill that is required to do this job is not an easy one to master and understand. Have you , yourself, ever clipped a hedge. If not , do yourself a favour and try it. It takes more skill than you think. On top of that it’s also takes good tools to do the job. These hedges in the pictures are done with shears not of the powered kind. The shears are powered by hands and arms and are actually a lot better to get clean finish on hedges with big leaves.

I cannot be happier with the completion of this river and pond. The electrician needs to sort out power points for the various pumps and filters but look how gorgeous it is. This is what people dream about having in their garden and we can make it REAL.

Happy Spring day everyone.
