Outside of extreme weather, one of the leading causes of peeling, cracking and flaking paint is something that happens before the paint even goes on? 👀

Poor surface prep.

If old, loose or flaking paint isn’t properly removed, cracks aren’t repaired, surfaces aren’t cleaned or the correct primer isn’t used, your new paint doesn’t have a solid foundation to adhere to.

And when the surface underneath starts to move, deteriorate or release its bond, your beautiful new paint can start peeling and cracking right along with it.
