A DAY WELL SPENT...

One of my favourite times on a NEW PROJECT is getting to spend time totally alone and uninterrupted in the spaces that I will be designing.

It's about connecting with the soul of the home.. the architects vision.. the clients wish list ... and creating the interiors that resonate with the spaces.

It's a creative experience that keeps drawing me in and is one of the many reasons that I just LOVE what I get to do.

I found myself on total sensory overload in the ancient Topkapi Palace and the more modern Dolmabache Palace completed in 1856.

Couldn't stop taking pics of door details and mirrors and exquisite hand painted wall tiles.

This style of occasional chair has found it's way into two of my current projects.

Their appeal is that they offer inviting seating for lounging..

They can be a feature in the room if done in an eye catching fabric..

They visually open up a smaller space as they have no arms..

and if made well they are extremely comfortable.. 👇
