OLD-WORLD CHARACTER, NEW KITCHEN MAGIC!

The brief was simple: “I want a new kitchen, but we need to keep the rosewood tops. I want to incorporate and reuse them!”

And just look at the result!

The refurbished rosewood tops bring warmth, character and timeless beauty to the kitchen, paired perfectly with 's board for a fresh, modern look.

A beautiful reminder that you don’t always have to start from scratch to create something extraordinary. Sometimes, the magic lies in giving something special a new lease on life!

We love turning our clients’ ideas into something truly unique.

What do you think of this transformation?

Designed for The Soft Life at Decorex Johannesburg 2026.

What does a kitchen designed for The Soft Life look like?

For Tharina Lembisch and Esmerelda Moller, it meant creating a space where comfort, functionality and considered design come together. Soft curves, warm natural finishes and layered textures work together to create a calm, inviting atmosphere, while the sculpted island becomes a focal point for conversation and connection.

PG Bison’s Luca Polenta carcassisng and Congo SupaMatt and Earlswood SupaTexture featured for the cabinetry design, for an overall look with depth and warmth.

The result? A kitchen designed not only to be seen, but to be experienced.

“Visitors really responded to the warm and cosy feel of the space. Many said they loved the look and wanted to recreate the same feeling in their own homes.” Designers: Tharina Lembisch and Esmerelda Moller.

Thank you to Eljen Kitchens for showcasing PG Bison products in this thoughtfully designed space.

For decades, the kitchen work triangle — connecting the fridge, sink and hob — has been the golden rule of kitchen design.

But kitchens have evolved. Today, they’re not just for cooking. They’re spaces to entertain, work, socialise, prepare meals and spend time together.

That’s why we’re seeing a shift towards kitchen zoning — creating dedicated areas for preparation, cooking, cleaning, storage, coffee and entertaining.

But does that mean the work triangle is outdated? Not necessarily. We believe good kitchen design is about understanding how you live and creating a space that works around your lifestyle.

Perhaps it’s not about saying goodbye to the triangle… but about evolving the way we think about kitchen design.

💬 What do you think — Work Triangle or Work Zones?
