Before buying a solar pump, know what it can do.

This 1HP solar DC brushless water pump has these specs on its nameplate:

Power: 750W (about 1 horsepower)
Maximum head: 13 metres
Maximum flow: 10,000 litres per hour
Outlet: 2 inch
Voltage: 48/60V DC

Maximum flow and maximum head don’t happen at the same time. Your actual water delivery depends on your lifting height, pipework and solar supply.

Depending on your setup, it may suit shallow-well water transfer, tank filling and garden watering.
