GALAXY SOHO | BEIJING

There are certain projects that remain with you long after you have moved on.

Galaxy SOHO is one of them.

During my time at Zaha Hadid Architects, I had the opportunity to work on this remarkable project in Beijing.

What continues to fascinate me is not simply its fluid geometry, but the ambition behind it — the possibility of rethinking architecture as a continuous spatial experience rather than a collection of individual buildings.

Working within an environment where convention was constantly questioned was an extraordinary experience.

Looking back, I realise that what stays with you is not necessarily a particular architectural language, but the courage to question the familiar.

As we approach Zaha’s birthday, I wanted to revisit a small part of that journey.
