Honestly, I’m feeling more than grateful to every single person who supports my little cake business. Whether you buy a cake, share a post, recommend me to a friend, or simply cheer me on, it means more than you’ll ever know. 🩷🥰
But there’s something I want to say…
I don’t want to be the top of the home bakery business. I don’t want to make my millions. I don’t want to push other home bakers out of the limelight or create posts that make others feel like they’re not good enough or undermine their efforts to succeed.
THAT’S NOT WHAT THIS IS ABOUT. 🩷
I DO want to support other small businesses in our local area and see them thrive.
I DO want to help others when I can.
I DO want to pass on the help, advice and kindness that other people gave me when I was starting out — from people who genuinely wanted to see me grow, without expecting anything in return.
Because there is room for all of us. There is room for different styles, different bakes, different businesses and different dreams. 🥰
Someone else’s success doesn’t take away from mine, and I’ll always be happy to see another small business doing well. 🩷
🩷 A little appreciation for the people who helped me get here… 🩷
I could never talk about my little business journey without mentioning the local businesses who supported me in those early days.
To the businesses who gave me the chance to sell my cakes, took a chance on me when I was still finding my feet, and helped me get my bakes out there — THANK YOU. 🥹❤️ Claire J Ashton Darren Ashton The Nag's Head The White Swan Pleasley Maud’s Garden
To those who shared my posts, recommended me to others and helped spread the word about my little cake business — you helped more than you probably realise. 🥰 theres far too many to tag but thankyou 😍🩷
And to those who offered advice, encouragement and support quietly behind the scenes, sharing what you knew because you genuinely wanted to see me succeed — I haven't forgotten you either. 🥰 Lou Seo Rebecca Sheppard
Every opportunity, every recommendation, every kind word and every bit of advice has played a part in getting me to where I am today.
You didn't have to help me, but you did. And that will always mean something to me. ❤️
As my little business continues to grow, I hope I can be that same bit of support for someone else. I want to see other local businesses thrive, I want to share what I've learned, and I want to encourage others just as people encouraged me.
Because I'll never believe that we have to compete with one another to succeed. There's room for all of us, and I'd much rather see us lifting each other up. 🩷🥰
And most importantly…
I DO want EVERYONE to have blooming good cake! 😂🎂🥰
Thank you for being part of my little journey, for supporting my bakes and for helping my small business grow. I'll never take it for granted. 🩷
Here's to good cake, good people, supporting local and lifting each other up instead of pulling each other down. 🥰🧁💕
