Project Name: Harbour Green
Size: 1371 sq.ft
Location: Tai Kok Tsui

“Amid soft arcs of light, everyday life settles into gentle order.”

Set within Harbour Green in Tai Kok Tsui, this four-bedroom residence was reimagined for a couple and their two daughters, shaping an unhurried, comfortable rhythm of family life. White, pale grey, deep grey and light timber form the foundation, layered with soft blush pink and antique bronze detailing to bring warmth into a modern, minimalist frame. Curves run through the ceilings and bespoke furniture throughout the home, softening every edge, while oak, wallpaper, marble and finely finished paintwork overlap in quiet layers. Under natural and ambient light, the interiors reveal an understated yet richly layered tactility.

The open-plan living and dining area gathers the family's everyday moments. White walls set off pale timber flooring and grey-toned furniture, while the curved ceiling and storage cabinetry continue the same design language, composing a clean, fluid visual cadence. Marble is worked into the dining sideboard, and open display shelving brings storage, display and daily circulation into balance. In the master bedroom, pale grey wallpaper, a deep grey headboard panel and antique bronze lines build a calm, composed layering. Pale timber cabinetry rests under soft lighting to create a restful retreat, while the sweeping sea view beyond the window lends the interior a quiet brightness and ease.

The daughters' room pairs pink wallpaper with pale timber furniture and soft grey curtains, creating a gentle, comforting space to grow up in. In the study, a work desk and generous storage are arranged along the window, answering the practical needs of the homeowners' daily routines. A lifted gaze meets the sea, letting focus and relaxation alternate naturally. From the flowing curves and finely layered materials to details shaped around each family member, the residence holds the family's everyday life in a soft, gentle order, becoming a warm home that accompanies them as they live and grow together.

Rooted in the philosophy of the Five Elements, Pure AW’s Designers’ approach to interior design reflects a refined understanding of how nature and living environments can exist in dynamic harmony. Each element—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—is thoughtfully expressed through material choices and spatial planning, weaving natural textures into the language of the home.

Materials are chosen for environmental impact and durability. Wood signifies growth and
vitality, while stone grounds and stabilises; metal introduces clarity and precision, water brings flow and calm, and fire offers transformation and warmth.

This methodology is a respectful dialogue between humans and the elements, where beauty, function, and ethical responsibility converge.

Project Name: Sky Garden
Size: 739 sq.ft
Location: Ho Man Tin

“A palette of black, white, and grey, where simple routines and considered living for one take form within a setting of softness and light.”

Located in Ho Man Tin, this residence rethinks a conventional three-bedroom apartment into an open living, one-bedroom home tailored to the homeowner’s daily routines. The transformation emphasises clarity, restraint, and ease of living, guided by a modern minimalist approach expressed through a refined palette of black, white, light grey, and dark grey tones.

The living, dining, and kitchen areas are brought together in an open-plan arrangement, organised along a clear linear axis that extends from the entrance through to the kitchen island, dining table, and living area. White establishes a calm visual base, while furniture and built-in cabinetry in graduated shades of grey subtly define each function without fragmenting the home. Matte dark grey kitchen cabinetry is paired with light grey stone benchtops and large-format grey floor tiles, maintaining a cohesive material language throughout. The television wall introduces a restrained stone texture, doubling as concealed storage to keep visual clutter to a minimum.

In the master bedroom, the monochrome palette continues with an integrated arrangement that combines sleeping, working, and leisure functions. A custom headboard extends seamlessly into a desk positioned at the window, allowing natural light to support everyday activities. Soft light grey to off-white wall finishes temper the presence of darker cabinetry, keeping the room light and settled. As daylight shifts across the greyscale surfaces, subtle tonal variations emerge, lending depth while preserving a tranquil mood.

The Five Elements philosophy offers a structured yet intuitive lens through which interior environments can be shaped for balance, wellbeing, and long-term sustainability. Pure AW’s Designers integrates traditional Feng Shui with modern ecological practices, using natural light, improved airflow, and sustainable materials to create balanced living spaces.

Each direction corresponds to an element with specific materials and colours. East (Wood) features natural textures for growth. South (Fire) uses vibrant colours for energy. Earth zones (Central, Northeast, Southwest) offer grounding palettes for stability. Metal zones (West, Northwest) incorporate bright finishes for focus. North (Water) uses flowing colours and reflective surfaces for introspection.

Integrating these elements, Pure AW’s Designers designs homes that balance visual refinement with energetic harmony, where each material choice enhances overall wellbeing.
